Still kickin' it old school

Wow! It's been ages since I wrote anything anywhere. I don't have any excuses. A lot happened this past few months. My daughter caught Kawasaki Disease. It was a bad time for my wife and me. Partly the reason I dropped out of the radar. It was harrowing nonetheless.

At the time, her temperature was 40 degrees. She had cracked and bloodied lips due to the extreme body temperature. She lost about 2kg's of body weight. Kawasaki Disease is lethal if not treated at the right moment. From what I can understand, it inflames the arteries of the heart and has long term side effects which includes stroke.

She was admitted for two weeks at Serdang Hospital. Two weeks of despair, doubt, and hope. It was scary. The sound of the machines incessant beeping that suddenly flatlines due to lose wires was gut wrenching.

Alhamdulillah, she pulled through and I know I've got me a fighter. Now she's healthy. No signs of her disease is present. She had a minor relapse but it was the last phase of her disease. A bit underweight but healthy, life's little blessing's.
As for me, I'm still kickin' it old school. Keeping myself busy with work. Working on your own you need to work constantly as not to fall into life's many distractions. Just turned 31 yesterday. Time flies. Enough for now let's see what comes next. Take care.
